About
Hello! Welcome to my personal website!
My name is Peyton Chandarana and I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. in computer engineering at the University of South Carolina under the supervision of Dr. Ramtin Zand.
I completed my B.S.E. in Computer Engineering at UofSC in the spring of 2019 and began my graduate studies as a masters student for the first two years. During those two years, I had the opportunity to contribute to several different projects including an Alexa Medication Reminder for the UofSC Nursing School as well as work on some protein analysis on COVID-19 in Computer Science and Engineering department (CSE).
I have had the opportunity to serve as a teacher's assistant three times now in the CSE department at UofSC for the Introduction to Architecture (CSCE 513) and the Fundamentals of Linux/UNIX (CSCE 215). I am now the instructor of record for the CSCE 215: UNIX/Linux Fundamentals course.
My current research primarily involves neuromorphic computing, hardware design, edge computing, and similar embedded systems topics. I am highly interested in using both biological phenomena to inspire computing and vice versa.Â
Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or wish to collaborate!
